Invitation to Monthly Branch Meeting

The Riverside Hotel, 2900 W Chinden Blvd, Boise
Tuesday, October 14, 2025

No host bar at 4:00 pm in the Juniper/Laurel Room
Buffet opens at 4:30 pm in the Juniper/Laurel Room

Speaker’s remarks begin about 5:15 pm

The first five years of life determine how the next 80 will unfold.

Lori Fascilla will join us to talk about the importance of early childhood in terms of economic development, personal success, emotional well being, and as a social determinant of health. She will give an update on Idaho’s lack of investment in early childhood care and education and how that is impacting children and families health across our state.
Why should people like us care? When the children are doing well, so does our entire society that we leave to future generations.

The Happy Hour format for this month’s meeting offers us a wider range of menu choices than we are able to give you in a plated dinner. You will not need to specify a menu choice on your reservations — and the cost will be less: $25 instead of $30.  As usual, a $5 facilities fee will be charged for members who choose to attend without accessing the buffet. Please use this more casual setting to visit with friends and reach out to new members or others you may not know as well before our program begins at 5:15.

Donations will be accepted at this meeting for:
  • menstrual products for female students at Frank Church High School.

If you are paying by cash or check, you must mail your payment to AAUW Boise, PO Box 16548, Boise ID 83715 to arrive no later than Thursday, October 9, 2025.
