Please join us for dinner to learn more about Corpus Commons, the only year-round daytime shelter in Boise, from its Executive Director Jessica Abbott.  The Corpus Christi House (as it was formally known) was founded in 2003 by the Catholic Workers organization as a hospitality day center that offered a comfortable place to sit, rest, read, or visit while providing the basic necessities for maintaining personal dignity. Their mission is to ease the burden of being homeless. They provide a place for people to get out of the weather, take a shower, wash their laundry, pick up mail, use the phone, eat, and be part of a community. In 2024 the center was renamed Corpus Commons to symbolize that it is a shelter for people of all faiths and backgrounds. At our meeting we will learn what services they provide, who they serve, and the trends and challenges they face.

NOTE: This will also be the branch’s annual meeting.

FOCUSED DONATION
Wine for Spring Fling Gala

This month let’s focus on bringing in a bottle (or two or three!) of red or white wine with a retail value of at least $25 each. Also, forms will be available at the meeting if you wish to donate an item or event to our Spring Fling silent auction.

Meal choices are available on the registration form. You may choose between 2 entrees. There is a fee of $5 to cover meeting costs should you choose not to dine.
